American Renal Associates (ARA) is one of the largest dialysis services providers in the United States. We provide high quality patient care to patients suffering from the most advanced stage of chronic kidney disease, known as End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).  We support and manage 3 state-of-the-art kidney centers in the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres communities.

Dr. Ankush Gulati

Dr. Ankush ( Tony ) Gulati completed his Nephrology training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. After moving to Lee county in 2007, He recognized the acute need for a Superior, state of the art dialysis center and partnered with American Renal Associates to open the dialysis centers in Cape Coral, Ft Myers and Lehigh Acres to provide dialysis needs of all areas of Lee county.

Dr. Gulati believes that Dialysis should be a quality of life enhancing therapy with improvement in patient well being. His team strives to remove the negative burden of dialysis and replace it with a positive attitude and improved health and vigor. He does so by focusing on dialysis therapy choices like home dialysis and kidney transplant referrals. In addition, He focuses on the individualized treatment to avoid discomfort typically associated with dialysis like cramping and weakness.

He and his team are available all times during the week as his practice is located in the same office building as the dialysis centers. He is focused on using the latest technology and medications to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Ganesh Shenoy

Dr. Ganesh Shenoy completed his training in Nephrology at the Temple University, Philadelphia,

Shortly thereafter, he founded Lee Kidney center in 2005

He is currently affiliated with the major hospitals in Fort Myers and has been the Physician Liaison of the ICU dialysis steering committee of all four hospital intensive care units of the Lee Health System since 2010.

He is board certified in Nephrology

With his partners, Dr.Shenoy shares ownership and medical directorships of the ARA- dialysis facilities in Lee County.

He firmly believes in an integrated team approach, involving active participation of the patients and their family, and remains in constant collaboration and communication with all other physicians involved in the patient’s care. He understands that being on dialysis is major lifestyle change.

At the kidney dialysis center, Dr. Shenoy and his team of healthcare providers, constantly strive to deliver the highest level of care, while maintaining a sympathetic and compassionate approach, during these challenging times.

Dr. Nijal Sheth

Dr. Nijal Sheth joined ARA in October 2016. He pursued his internal medicine residency and Nephrology training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, NY, NY. During his residency Dr. Sheth received ” Resident of the year ” award in 2011 at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, NY. Dr. Sheth has authored/co-authored numerous abstracts and articles. His original research work on “Hyponatremia” has been presented at national meetings. His abstracts/publications have also appeared in major medical journals.

Dr. Sheth’s professional interests includes all forms of kidney disease, particularly related to resistant hypertension, diabetic kidney diseases and electrolytes disorders. His main focus of interest is early diagnosis and aggressive intervention to prevent rapid deterioration of kidney function in hopes to delay or even avoid dialysis. Other interests include providing dialysis at comfort of home by using Peritoneal and Home hemodialysis modalities over In-center hemodialysis, pre & post kidney transplant management, management of kidney stones, and glomerulonephritis.

He has brought his dedication, innovation, evidence based medicine and love for patient care to our practice.

Dr. Sheth is married with two kids. He enjoys travelling, reading, cricket and volleyball.
